Hazard Involved

The above models during the affected date codes were manufactured with an incorrect transient protection component. This may increase the likelihood of damage to the detector should the detector be subjected to an electrical transient during operation. Electrical transients (over-voltages) in a circuit may exceed the electrical specifications of the product and can be caused by lightning strikes, power surges, power transitions, malfunctions caused by the power company, and electromagnetic pulses.
