As a result of an error within the manufacturer’s specifications, the electronics contained within the positioner are not sufficiently protected as Intrinsically Safe in Class I, Division 1 Groups A & B, Zone 0 Group IIC or Zone 1 Group IIC areas. This product alert only affects products with a serial number in the range between FA020100001 and FA02459999. It is advised that if you do have one of these SVI FF Positioners that fall within the identified serial number range, it must be removed from service immediately and replaced with a certified intrinsically safe device.
