FM Approvals has been made aware of a falsified FM Approvals Certificate of Compliance (CoC). The document is an image of the falsified CoC misrepresenting various models of Reddy-Buffaloes centrifugal, horizontal split case fire pumps with carbon steel casings as FM Approved. The document was brought to our attention during a surveillance audit at a customer site in Mexico. FM Approvals contacted Reddy-Buffaloes who had no information on the source of the falsified document.

The products described in the falsified Certificate of Compliance in Figure 1 below have never been tested or certified as FM Approved with carbon steel casings. They were, at one time, FM Approved with grey cast iron casings. There is no evidence these products have ever been tested to the rigorous requirements of FM Approvals. Use of these products may present a property risk for the user.
