FM Approvals has been made aware of a falsified FM Approvals Certificate of Compliance (CoC). The document (attached as Figure 1) is an image of the falsified CoC misrepresenting Nanjing Tuna Fire Protection Co., Ltd sprinklers as FM Approved. This same certificate (without the Nanjing Tuna Fire Protection Co., Ltd name) was the subject of a Product Alert issued on November 26, 2013.

July 30, 2019 Revision: Nanjing Fire has acknowledged the existence of this falsified certificate (ref attached) and has issued the following public notice available on their web site. Nanjing Tuna Fire Protection Co. Ltd is a subsidiary of Nanjing Fire Protection Technology Co., Ltd.

Hazard Involved:  The products described in the falsified CoC in Figure 1 below have never been tested or certified as FM Approved.  Use of products that falsely claim FM Approval may present a property risk for the user.
