Description

Malvern Instruments has identified a potential safety concern affecting the Insitec X System.

As a result of an error in the specifications of the intrinsically safe cables used within the Insitec X System, the maximum length of the cables installed between the ITX2006 Interface Unit and the ITX2000 Insitec Optical Head must be reduced from 57 meters to 39 meters when installed in the presence of Group A and Group B gases as defined in the National Electrical Code (NEC).
