Hazard Involved:  Clarke has determined that if the recommended engine coolant maintenance procedures are not followed and factory recommended coolant is not used, deposits can form in the coolant system. These deposits can collect on and cause localized overheating of the engine jacket water heater.  This can result in the heater failure and/or coolant hose embrittlement and failure. Sudden loss of coolant from a hose failure will cause the engine to overheat and fail.

The Clarke service bulletin referenced below details the proper procedure for periodic coolant checks, flushing and replacement.
